Meet Randy Duncan

Randy Duncan

Conditioning Coach

Randy has provided his servant leadership skills with Action for more than 5 years as a Coach and Parent. His son Tyler recently completed his 5th and final season with Action. Through hard work and preparation Tyler has earned the privilege to continue his baseball career at the collegiate level as a student athlete.

Randy was also a student athlete and played baseball competitively at the high school level for 4 years.  He chose to serve the United States Army after high school. Randy was assigned to the Army Special Operations Ranger Regiment. Randy then completed airborne school. He spent 20+ years serving our country in the Ranger’s along with over 60 months deployed to other countries.

In 1997 and 1998, Randy was selected to represent the entire Ranger Regiment in the Army’s Best Ranger Competition. He finished 12th and 8th respectively. This event is considered one of the most difficult and physically demanding events in relation to the ultra-marathons and iron man triathlons.

Randy has served in every Leadership position in the Rangers. He has attended numerous tactical, physical, and mental training courses throughout his career. During his final few years of service, Randy had the privilege to attend Gym Jones, Mountain Athlete and API to assist with redefining a Physical Fitness Program for elite soldiers preparing them for deployment and injury prevention.

Randy utilizes his previous military tactics and philosophies to not only focus on the physical side but on the mental side of the game of baseball, strength and conditioning. Randy strives to fundamentally prepare Actions youth to become better athletes and outstanding citizens.

We are lucky enough to have Randy work with our athletes as the Conditioning Coach for Action’s Winter Camp!
