Outfield Coach

We are proud to announce Chris Roller, outfielder for the Akron RubberDucks, will be an Outfield Coach at Action’s Winter Camp!  Roller attended Lake Travis High School where he recorded a .395 batting average with seven home runs and 21 RBIs.  Roller was first-team all-district, first-team all-Centex and third-team all-state selection in baseball.  He was also second-team academic all-state selection.  Roller was also named District 14-6A Football MVP, First-Team All-Centex, First-Team All-State returner and Second-Team All-State defensive back in football at Lake Travis.

From there, Roller went on to play at McLennan College where in 2017 he played in 59 games, .414 BA, 10 HR, 71RBI, 32 SB.  Roller was named NJCAA First Team All Region 5 Outfielder, NTJCAC First Team All Conference Outfielder, 2017 NJCAA World Series All Tournament Team.

In 2017 Roller was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 30th round of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft.  He was also drafted in the 1st round to Cleveland in the 2020 Minor League Rule 5 Draft.  Roller currently plays with the Akron Rubber Ducks.
